Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 38:75

Khalid ibn Makhlad narrated to us, he said: Ya'qub narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Abi al-Mughirah, from Ibn Abza, who said: Abdullah ibn Budayl reached Aisha while she was in the litter on the Day of the Camel. He said: "O Mother of the Believers, I adjure you by Allah, do you know that I came to you the day Uthman was killed and said: 'Uthman has been killed, so what do you command me?' And you said to me: 'Stick to Ali, for by Allah, he has neither changed nor altered.'" She remained silent. He repeated it to her three times, and she remained silent. He then said: "Hamstring the camel!" So they hamstrung it. He said: "I and her brother, Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr, descended and carried the litter until we placed it before Ali. Ali ordered it, so it was taken into the house of Abdullah ibn Budayl." Ja'far ibn Abi al-Mughirah said: My paternal aunt was with Abdullah ibn Budayl, and my aunt told me that Aisha said to her: "Bring me inside." She said: "So I brought her inside, and I brought her a basin and a pitcher, and I closed the door upon her." She said: "I looked at her through a gap in the door, and she was treating her head—I do not know if it was a wound or a strike."
