Hadith 18:1071

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: 'A'idh ibn Habib narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, that a woman in al-Sham came to al-Dahhak ibn Qays and mentioned to him that a person had forced open her door against her, and that she had called for help but no one helped her. It was winter, so she opened the door for him and took a hand-mill and threw it at him, and it killed him. He sent [someone] with her, and behold, he was one of the thieves, and behold, he had property with him. So he declared his blood to be of no consequence (i.e., he ruled that there was no retaliation for his killing).
