Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 18:1252

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa‘id and Haram ibn Sa‘d: That a she-camel belonging to al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib entered the garden of some people and caused damage to it. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) decreed that the protection of property is upon its owners during the day, and that whatever the livestock damages at night is upon the owners of the livestock.
