Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 18:1266

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, he said: I heard him saying: If he pardons him, or takes retribution from him, or accepts the blood money from him, then it is an expiation for him.
