Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from al-Harith ibn Fudayl, from Ibn Abi al-Awja’, from Abu Shurayh al-Khuza’i, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever is afflicted with bloodshed or 'khabl'—and 'khabl' is a wound—then he has the choice between one of three things. If he desires a fourth, then restrain his hands: either he kills, or he pardons and takes the blood money. Whoever does any of that and then transgresses again, for him is the fire of Hell, abiding therein eternally forever."
