Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 18:1303

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Habib al-Mu'allim, from al-Hasan, that a man from the polytheists performed Hajj. When he returned, departing, a man from the Muslims met him and killed him. So the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered that his blood money be paid to his family.
