Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Marwan bin Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Sa'id bin Muslim, from al-Sha'bi, who said: He was asked about a slain person found in three neighborhoods; his head was in a neighborhood, his legs were in a neighborhood, and his middle was in a neighborhood. Al-Sha'bi said: The funeral prayer is performed over the middle, and the blood money is upon the people of the middle, and the Qasamah (oath-taking) is: "We did not kill, and we do not know a killer."
