Hadith 18:173

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, he said: Sa’id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan: He was asked about a man who was struck with a stone or hit on his head, so his hearing and his sight departed, and his speech was cut off. He said: "There are blood-monies (diyat) for him: a blood-money for his hearing, a blood-money for his sight, and a blood-money for his tongue." It was said to al-Hasan: "He has profited." He said: "By Allah, he has neither profited nor succeeded."
