Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 18:389

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sa’id ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Shurayh, regarding a man who broke another man’s hand and it was set (healed). Shurayh said: "The one who broke it is responsible for the wage of the one who set it. Does he not praise Allah that He returned his hand to him?"
