Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Jabir, from al-Sha’bi, who said: If a slave’s eye is gouged out, or his hand or his foot is cut off, then upon [the perpetrator] is half of his value. And if both of his eyes are gouged out, or both of his hands or both of his feet are cut off, he [the perpetrator] shall surrender him [the slave to the master] and upon him is his [full] value.
