Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn al-Hakam, from Ishaq, from al-Dahhak, from 'Ali, that he said: There is no retaliation (qisas) in the *ja'ifah* (a wound reaching the body cavity), nor the *ma'mumah* (a head wound reaching the brain membrane), nor the *munqilah* (a wound that displaces bones).
