Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from al-Qasim ibn Nafi’, he said: Umar said: "Whatever the runaway [animal] hits, there is no liability upon its owner. And whoever hits the runaway [animal], he is liable."
