Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahim narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Sha'bi, and from al-Hakam and Hammad, from Ibrahim; they both said: The blood money (diyah) of the Jew, the Christian, the Magian, and the Mu'ahid (covenanted person) is like the blood money of the Muslim, and their women are at half the blood money of the men. And 'Amir used to recite this verse: "And if he was from a people between whom and you is a treaty, then a blood money payment delivered to his family."
