Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ma’n narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Dhi’b, from al-Harith ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, that a man from the Nabataeans was attacked by a man from the people of Medina, who killed him by treachery. He was brought to Aban ibn ‘Uthman, and he was the governor of Medina at that time. He ordered that the Muslim who killed the dhimmi be killed.
