Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from Hammad, that he did not see [the application of] *qisas* (retaliation) between a man and a woman in matters less than [the taking of] a life. And al-Hakam said: We have not heard anything regarding them, but *qisas* between them is good.
