Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isa narrated to us, from al-Awza’i, from al-Zuhri, who said: The Sunnah has passed regarding a man who strikes his wife and wounds her, that there is no retaliation (qisas) against him, and he pays the blood money (diya) for her.
