Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from ‘Amr ibn Shu’ayb, that Abu Bakr and ‘Umar used to say: The master is not killed for his slave, but he is beaten, his imprisonment is prolonged, and he is deprived of his share.
