Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa’id, that ‘Umar used to say: "The blood money (diyah) is upon the paternal relatives (al-‘aqilah), and the woman does not inherit anything from the blood money of her husband." Until al-Dahhak ibn Sufyan al-Kilabi wrote to him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made the wife of Ashyam al-Dababi inherit from the blood money of her husband.
