Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 18:860

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir narrated to us, from Mughira, from Ibrahim, regarding a man whom a group of people emancipated, and others emancipated his father. He said: They inherit from one another through kinship (al-arham), and their crimes (diyat/blood money) are upon the 'aqila (the paternal male relatives) of their masters.
