Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 18:907

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Abu 'Awn, from Shurayh, that a man met [another] with a chair and collided with him, and killed him. Shurayh said: "The one who collided [is held] liable for the one who was collided with."
