Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Shu’bah, from al-Hakam, who said: I sought permission from Ziyad ibn Jubayr regarding the Hajj, so he asked me about a man who wounded another man on the head, and retaliation was taken from him for it, then the one from whom retaliation was taken died. I said: "The blood money is upon him, and it is deducted from him according to the extent of the wound." Then I forgot that, so Ibrahim came and I asked him, and he said: "The blood money is upon him."
