Hadith 10:1035
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from Isma'il, from al-Sha'bi, who said: Her waiting period ('iddah) is one menstrual cycle. So why do you not allow her to inherit if you have made it three menstrual cycles?
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا حفص عن إسماعيل عن الشعبي قال عدتها حيضة فلم لا تورثونها إذا جعلتموها ثلاث حيض
