Hadith 10:1037
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Yahya bin Sa’id, he said: I heard Al-Qasim, and it was mentioned to him that ‘Abd al-Malik bin Marwan separated men from their wives who were *umm al-walad* (slave women who had borne children to their masters) and had remarried after two menstrual cycles, until they completed a waiting period of four months and ten days. He said: "Subhan Allah! Allah says in His Book: 'And those who die among you and leave behind wives...'—they are not their wives."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا الثقفي عن يحيى بن سعيد قال سمعت القاسم وذكر له أن عبد الملك بن مروان فرق بين رجال ونسائهم كن أمهات أولاد نكحن بعد حيضتين حتى يعتددن أربعة أشهر وعشرا فقال سبحان الله يقول الله في كتابه @QB@ والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون أزواجا @QE@ 1 ما هن لهم بأزواج
