Hadith 10:1078
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Sa’id, from Qatadah, from Sa’id and al-Hasan, they both said: Umar ibn al-Khattab granted the impotent man a period of one year. If he is able (to have intercourse) within it, then (the marriage continues), otherwise, he separates between them. And upon her is the waiting period (iddah).
