Hadith 10:1107
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Za’idah narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Ibrahim, from Masruq, who said: A man came to ‘Abdullah and said: "I have divorced my wife, and she wants to leave." He said: "Detain her." He said: "She will not be detained." He said: "Then shackle her." He said: "She has brothers with thick necks (i.e., powerful/formidable)." He said: "Seek the assistance of the governor."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن أبي زائدة عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن مسروق قال جاء رجل إلى عبد الله فقال إني طلقت امرأتي وإنها تريد أن تخرج قال احبسها قال لا تحبس قال فقيدها قال إن لها إخوة غليظة رقابهم قال استعد الأمير
