Hadith 10:1122
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Mughira, from Ibrahim, that he was asked about a woman who was divorced while she was residing in a rented house. He said: If he is able to pay the rent, it is better that he pays the rent and she remains in her house until her waiting period (iddah) expires.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم سئل عن امرأة طلقت وهي ساكنة في بيت بكراء فقال إن أحسن أن يعطي أجرا وتمكث في بيتها حتى تنقضي عدتها
