Hadith 10:1184
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, from Ata, regarding a man who divorced his wife, then took her back, but concealed the return from her until her waiting period (iddah) had expired. He said: If he catches up with her before she marries [another], he is more entitled to her; otherwise, it is a loss.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن نمير عن عبد الملك عن عطاء في رجل طلق امرأته ثم راجعها فكتمها الرجعة حتى انقضت عدتها قال إن أدركها قبل أن تتزوج فهو أحق بها وإلا فهو ضيع
