Hadith 10:1188
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il narrated to us, he said: I heard al-Hakam ibn 'Utaybah mentioning from Abu Kanaf that he divorced his wife, then he took her back (in marriage) without informing her of the return. So she married (another man). He traveled regarding that to 'Umar, who said: "Return, if you find that she has not yet come to her husband whom she married, then she is your wife." He returned and did not find that she had come to her husband, so he took possession of her.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا محمد بن بشر قال نا إسماعيل قال سمعت الحكم بن عتيبة يذكر عن أبي كنف أنه طلق امرأته ثم راجعها ولم يعلمها الرجعة فتزوجت فركب في ذلك إلى عمر فقال ارجع إن وجدتها لم تأت زوجها الذي نكحت فهي امرأتك فرجع فلم يجدها أتت زوجها فقبضها
