Hadith 10:1206
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan and Khilas, regarding the man who divorces his wife while he is absent from her. They both said: She shall observe her waiting period (‘iddah) from the day the news reaches her.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن علية عن ايوب عن قتادة عن الحسن وخلاس في الرجل يطلق امرأته وهو غائب عنها قالا تعتد من يوم ياتيها الخبر
