Hadith 10:1238
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Ayyub, he said: Ata al-Khurasani wrote to me that he asked Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib and the jurists of the people of Medina—and I think he said Sulayman ibn Yasar—about the divorced woman and the woman whose husband has died. They said: They both observe mourning and abstain from kohl, dyeing (with henna), applying perfume, and combing (the hair).
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا عبد الوهاب الثقفي عن أيوب قال كتب إلى عطاء الخرساني أنه سأل سعيد بن المسيب وفقهاء أهل المدينة قال وأحسبه قال سليمان بن يسار عن المطلقة والمتوفى عنها زوجها فقالوا تحدان وتتركان الكحل والتخضيب والتطيب والتمشط
