Hadith 10:1249
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Abdullah, from Nafi’, from Ibn Umar, he said: The woman whose husband has died shall not apply kohl, nor shall she apply henna, nor shall she wear any garment except for a garment of 'asb (dyed yarn). And she shall not move out from her house, but she may visit during the day.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن نمير عن عبد الله عن نافع عن بن عمر قال المتوفى عنها زوجها لا تكتحل ولا تختضب ولا تلبس ثوبا إلا ثوب عصب ولا تبين عن بيتها ولكن تزور بالنهار
