Hadith 10:1279
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abda bin Sulayman narrated to us, from Sa’id, from Qatada, from Khallas, that a man divorced his wife and called two men to witness it in secret, and he said: "Keep it hidden," until the waiting period (iddah) had passed. Then they brought the matter to Ali. He suspected the two witnesses and flogged them, and he did not grant him the right of return (raj'ah) over her.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا عبدة بن سليمان عن سعيد عن قتادة عن خلاس أن رجلا طلق امرأته وأشهد رجلين في السر وقال اكتما عليه حتى انقضت العدة فارتفعا إلى علي فاتهم الشاهدين وجلدهما ولم يجعل له عليها رجعة
