Hadith 10:1326
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya bin Sulaym narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Uthman, who said: My brother, Umar bin Uthman, swore an oath to emancipate a slave girl of his if he were to drink from her vessel until a time limit he had set. He forgot before the time limit had passed and drank. I sought a legal opinion for him from Ata, Mujahid, Said bin Jubayr, and Ali al-Azdi, and all of them were of the opinion that she is free.
