Hadith 10:1330
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Ata, from al-Sha’bi, who said: He was asked about a man who said to another, "You are indeed envious." The other replied, "If I am envious, then my wife is thrice divorced." He said: "Yes." He said: "You have both failed and lost, and your wife has become separated from you."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن عطاء عن الشعبي قال سئل عن الرجل قال لآخر إنك لحسود فقال الآخر أحسدنا امرأته طالق ثلاثا قال نعم قال قد خبتما وخسرتما وبانت منكما امرأتكما
