Hadith 10:1336

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman, who said: There was a young man from the tribe who lived in a house. His mother did not cease [pressuring] him until he married a daughter of his paternal uncle. He became attached to her with a deep attachment. Then his mother said to him, "Divorce her." He said, "I cannot; she has become attached to me in a way that I cannot divorce her." She said, "Then your food and your drink are forbidden to me until you divorce her." So he traveled to Abu al-Darda’ in the Levant and mentioned his situation to him. He said, "I am not one who would command you to divorce your wife, nor am I one who would command you to be undutiful to your parents."
