Hadith 10:1341
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A’la narrated to us, from Bard, from Makhul, regarding a man who had four wives, then he divorced one of them, then he married a fifth, then he died, and it was not known which of them he had divorced. He said: The one he married last receives a quarter of the eighth, and the three-quarters are [divided] among these four.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا عبد الأعلى عن برد عن مكحول في رجل كن له أربع نسوة فطلق إحداهن ثم تزوج خامسة ثم مات ولم يعلم أيتهن طلق قال ربع الثمن التي تزوج أخيرا وثلاثة أرباع بين هؤلاء الأربع
