Hadith 10:1375
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi ‘Aruba, from Qatada, that a man divorced his wife twice during the Pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah). Then he accepted Islam, and he divorced her once during Islam. So ‘Umar asked ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Awf, and he said: "His divorce during polytheism is nothing."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع عن بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة أن رجلا طلق امرأته في الجاهلية تطليقتين ثم أسلم فطلقها في الإسلام تطليقة فسأل عمر عبد الرحمن بن عوف فقال طلاقه في الشرك ليس بشيء
