Hadith 10:1405
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, from Hisham, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Abi al-Safar, from al-Sha’bi, regarding the breastfeeding of the infant. He said: His mother has more right to him as long as she is in the city (al-misr). If she intends to take him out to the countryside (al-sawad), then the guardians (al-awliya) have the right.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو معاوية عن هشام قال نا سفيان عن عبد الله بن أبي السفر عن الشعبي في رضاع الصبي قال أمه أحق به ما كانت في المصر فإذا أرادت أن تخرج به إلى السواد فالأولياء
