Hadith 10:1408
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, from Shu'bah, he said: I heard al-Hakam say regarding a man who said to his wife, "By Allah, I will surely cause you distress," and then he left her for four months: He said: "It is *ila* (oath of continence)."
