Hadith 10:1451
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Sha'bi, who said: If he accuses her of adultery (qadhf), then she dies before he performs the imprecation (li'an) with her, he said: If he wishes, he may declare himself a liar and inherit from her. And if he wishes, he may perform the imprecation and not inherit from her.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن فضيل عن أشعث عن الشعبي قال إذا قذفها ثم ماتت قبل أن يلاعنها قال إن شاء أكذب نفسه وورث وإن شاء لاعن ولم يرث
