Hadith 10:1493
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, who said: A man said to his wife during the time of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "I will not approach you, nor will you be lawful to me." She said: "How will you do that?" He said: "I will divorce you, and when your waiting period is near its end, I will take you back." She went out and came to the Prophet, peace be upon him. Then Allah the Exalted revealed: "Either retain [her] in an acceptable manner or release [her] with good treatment." He said: So the people received it as something new, both those who had divorced and those who had not divorced.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا عبد الله بن إدريس عن هشام عن أبيه قال قال رجل لأمرأته على عهد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لا أقربك ولا تحلين مني قالت فكيف تصنع قال أطلقك حتى إذا دنا مضي عدتك راجعتك فخرجت فأتت النبي عليه السلام فأنزل الله تعالى @QB@ فإمساك بمعروف أو تسريح بإحسان @QE@ قال فاستقبله الناس جديدا من كان طلق ومن لم يكن طلق
