Hadith 10:1494
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Simak, from Ikrimah, who said: "The divorce is twice, then either retention in a recognized manner or release with kindness." He said: If a man wants to divorce his wife, he divorces her two pronouncements. If he wants to take her back, he has the right of return over her. If he wishes, he divorces her a third time, then she is not lawful for him until she marries a husband other than him.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو الأحوص عن سماك عن عكرمة قال @QB@ الطلاق مرتان فإمساك بمعروف أو تسريح بإحسان @QE@ قال إذا أراد الرجل أن يطلق امرأته فيطلقها تطليقتين فإن أراد أن يراجعها كانت له عليها رجعة فإن شاء طلقها أخرى فلا تحل له حتى تنكح زوجا غيره
