Hadith 10:1518
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Bishr al-‘Abdi narrated to us, he said: ‘Amr ibn Maymun narrated to us, from his father, who said: Umm Kulthum was married to al-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwam, and he was a man who was harsh toward women. She asked him to divorce her while she was pregnant, but he refused. When labor pains struck her, she persisted with him to divorce her, so he divorced her once while he was performing ablution. Then he went out, and a person caught up with him and informed him that Umm Kulthum had delivered her child. He said: "She has deceived me, may Allah deceive her." He then came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and mentioned that to him and informed him of what she had done. He said: "The decree of Allah has already preceded regarding her. Propose to her." He said: "She will never return to me."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا محمد بن بشر العبدي قال نا عمرو بن ميمون عن أبيه قال كانت أم كلثوم تحت الزبير بن العوام وكان رجلا شديدا على النساء فسألته أن يطلقها وهي حامل فأبى فلما ضربها الطلق ألحت عليه في تطليقة فطلقها واحدة وهو يتوضأ ثم خرج فأدركه إنسان فأخبره أن أم كلثوم قد وضعت حملها قال خدعتني خدعها الله فأتى النبي عليه السلام فذكر ذلك له وأخبره بالذي صنعت فقال سبق كتاب الله فيها اخطبها فقال لا ترجع لي أبدا
