Hadith 10:1546
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hawdhah ibn Khalifah narrated to us, he said: ‘Awf narrated to us, from a man who said: I heard Samurah ibn Jundub delivering a sermon on the pulpit of Basra, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Indeed, the woman was created from a rib, and if you wish to straighten the rib, you will break it. So, treat her gently, you will live with her; treat her gently, you will live with her."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا هوذة بن خليفة قال نا عوف عن رجل قال سمعت سمرة بن جندب يخطب على منبر البصرة يقول سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إن المرأة خلقت من ضلع وإنك إن ترد إقامة الضلع تكسر فدارها تعش بها فدارها تعش بها
