Hadith 10:1555
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Ash’ath, he said: Al-Hasan used to say: If she casts it as a blood clot (*‘alaqah*) or a lump of flesh (*mudghah*) after it is known that it is a pregnancy, then in it is the *ghurrah* (compensation for the fetus), and the waiting period (*‘iddah*) is concluded by it. And if she was an *umm walad* (a slave woman who bore a child for her master), she is emancipated.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا بن أبي عدي عن أشعث قال كان الحسن يقول إذا ألقته علقة أو مضغة بعد أن يعلم أنه حمل ففيه الغرة وتنقضي به العدة وإن كانت أم ولد أعتقت
