Hadith 10:1572
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isma’il ibn Abi Khalid, from ‘Amir, who said: A woman came to ‘Ali whose husband had divorced her. She claimed that she had menstruated three times in one month and had become pure at each period of purity and had prayed. ‘Ali said to Shurayh: "Give your verdict regarding her." Shurayh said: "If she brings evidence from the inner circle of her family, from those whose religion and trustworthiness are pleasing, who testify that she menstruated three times in one month and became pure at each period of purity and prayed, then she is truthful. Otherwise, she is a liar." ‘Ali said: "Qalon," and he formed the number thirty with his hand, meaning in the Roman (Byzantine) language.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا وكيع عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد عن عامر قال جاءت امرأة إلى علي طلقها زوجها فزعمت أنها حاضت في شهر ثلاث حيض وطهرت عند كل قرء وصلت فقال علي لشريح قل فيها فقال شريح إن جاءت بينة من بطانة أهلها ممن يرضى بدينه وأمانته يشهدون أنها حاضت في شهر ثلاث حيض وطهرت عند كل قرء وصلت فهي صادقة وإلا فهي كاذبة فقال علي قالون وعقد ثلاثين بيده يعني بالرومية
