Hadith 10:159
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abda narrated to us, from Sa’id, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, regarding a man who divorced his wife, then he met [someone] and it was said to him, "Have you divorced your wife?" He said, "Yes." Then he met another [person] and it was said to him, "Have you divorced your wife?" He said, "Yes." So that was raised to Umar ibn al-Khattab, and he said, "What did he intend?"
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا عبدة عن سعيد عن قتادة عن الحسن في رجل طلق امرأته فلقي فقيل له طلقت امرأتك فقال نعم فلقي آخر فقيل له طلقت امرأتك فقال نعم فرفع ذلك إلى عمر بن الخطاب فقال ما نوى
