Hadith 10:161
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from Hammad, regarding a man who said to his wife, "You are divorced," and she said, "What are you saying?" So he said, "You are divorced irrevocably." Hammad said: If he intended to make her understand, then there is no harm.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال نا أبو معاوية عن الشيباني عن حماد في رجل قال لأمرأته أنت طالق فقالت أي شيء تقول فقال أنت طالق البتة فقال حماد إن كان أراد أن يفهمها فلا بأس
