Hadith 10:210
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from ‘Amr ibn Shu‘ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I wrote to ‘Umar regarding a madman who is feared to kill his wife. He wrote back to me: "Delay him for a year so that he may be treated."
