Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, he said: A man from the people of Syria, whom I did not see any harm in, narrated to me. He said: We were on a military expedition, and a companion of ours became delirious (feverish/unconscious), so he divorced his wife three times. When he regained consciousness, they said to him: "You did such and such." He said: "I do not know of this, neither a little nor a lot, and I do not recognize it." Then a man among us rode to Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz for a need. When he had fulfilled his need, he asked him about that, and he (Umar) declared him truthful.
